Just out of curiosity, what weapon/perk/equip/grenade combos do you use for different modes? Gonna post a couple of mine, looking for improvements.
Soldier - TDM/DOM Primary: AK47 - Suppressor Secondary: M72 LAW (Anti-air) Perk 1: Scavenger / Ghost Perk 2: Sleight of Hand Pro Perk 3: Ninja Lethal: Frag Tactical: Concussion Equipment: Claymore
CTF - CTF Primary: AK47 - Suppressor Secondary: Python - Speed Reloader Perk 1: Lightweight Pro Perk 2: Sleight of Hand Pro Perk 3: Marathon (Working on Marathon Pro) Lethal: Frag Tactical: Concussion Equipment: Claymore
Tac Def - Any defensive position Primary: Commando - Red Dot Secondary: Python - Speed Reloader Perk 1: Lightweight Pro Perk 2: Steady Aim Pro Perk 3: Tactical Mask Lethal: Frag Tactical: Nova Gas Equipment: Claymore

Small maps (nuketown/firing range)
Primary: MP5K - rapid fire (OR ak74u rapid fire) Secondary: Python -speed reloader Perk 1: lightweight Perk 2: steady aim Perk 3: marathon Lethal: Frag Tactical: Flashbang Equipment: Claymore
(do not aim down sights and you will do well with this class, firing from the hip is very accurate with this setup)
Medium maps (grid, summit, etc)
Primary: Famas - dual mag Secondary: Strela 3 Perk 1: Hardline Perk 2: Sleight of Hand Perk 3: Marathon Lethal: Semtex Tactical: Flashbang Equipment: Claymore
(An all around good setup which makes for fast acquisition of killstreak rewards. Dual mag helps with reload speed since the Famas drains bullets fast).
Large maps (array, cracked, etc)
Primary: Commando - reflex (OR FN FAL reflex) Secondary: Strela 3 Perk 1: Hardline Perk 2: Sleight of Hand Pro Perk 3: Ninja Lethal: Frag Tactical: Flashbang Equipment: Claymore
(reflex scope provides easy aiming at longer range without the recoil having a huge effect on the aiming (like ACOG sights do), FAL used when I have my good days with spot on aiming(only 2 shots to kill)).
Hope that helps some..

So far, I've tried the Small Map setup (with MP5K), and I have to say, it's an incredible setup. I don't have the best tracking in the world (inconsistent frames per second means inconsistent response to mouse movement, and I'm still finding my sensitivity sweetspot, currently at 9.1 and rising), but my first run with this setup, I joined a 24/7 Nuketown server, mid-match, and ended up 2nd in TDM. Did the same thing a little bit later and ended up 1st in TDM. My kd ratio was still ~0.8, so I need to work on not dying, but that's an incredible setup for some fast kills.

my classes are mainly themed and designed to fit different situations rather than maps,
btw the versio I have doesn't have face paint, or flamethrowers or any of the flashy stuff just the basics
class one Ninja (best for CQC [close quarters combat]) pp64 smg with extended mags Ice camo Ballistic knife Tomahawk concussion grenades C4 charges lightweight steady aim marathon
Class 2 Survivor -best for room to room fighting when you need alot of firepower- Shotgun variant but currently using Spas 12 with ice camo Markarov X2 Semtex Decoy C4 charges Scavenger Steady Aim Second Chance
Class 3 Blackout -best suited for technology and stelath as well as taking out enemy killstreaks- Assault rifle varaiant currently using M16 w/ GL and red dot sight Ice Camo Rocket variant Strela 3 is most suitable semtex TACTICAL GRENADE VARIANT nova gas or concussion grenade Motion sensor or jammer Ghost Warlord Ninja
Class 4 Stopper -meant to be the "heavy weapons class" best for slow moving firefights- LMG variant currently using m60 w/extended mags Ice camo because shotys aren't secondary anymore- use a launcher or crossbow frag grenade concussion grenade C4 charges Hardline sleight of hand none of these last perks matter but I use tactical mask
Final class Snyper -you know what this is, best suited for cutting off baddies at choke point- Sniper variant with a variant of attachments Ice camo Makarrov X2 Tomahawk Flashbang on concussions Scavenger -because hiding equals ammo refills may be needed_ scout or warlord -whether time or variety is important- ninja
now remember these are themed and are meant for situational purposes not basing on maps
